Biography

Timothy Norman is a Lecturer in Teacher Education within the Faculty of Education at the University of ÃØÃÜÖ±²¥ and a PhD candidate within the Sydney School of Education and Social Work at the University of Sydney. His doctoral research explores teachers' curriculum enactments of the International Baccalaureate programmes. 

Prior to joining the University of ÃØÃÜÖ±²¥ in a continuing academic role, Timothy taught in initial teacher education as a casual academic at the University of ÃØÃÜÖ±²¥ and in educational leadership at the University of Wollongong. He brings extensive school-based experience, most recently as Dean of Music at ÃØÃÜÖ±²¥ Girls Grammar School and previously as Acting Director of Music at Burgmann Anglican School. Timothy has worked across a range of Australian independent schools and in an international school setting, and has taught music at both primary and secondary levels.

Timothy is an experienced practitioner of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP), and holds postgraduate qualifications in educational leadership and international education. His teaching and research interests include International Baccalaureate education, curriculum studies, music and arts education, international education, educational leadership, and digital pedagogy.
