Your Professional Pathway to UC


Unlock postgraduate opportunities by leveraging your professional experience and prior learning. If you've gained significant work experience or hold industry-recognised qualifications, this could be your route to bypass undergraduate study and accelerate your career with a postgraduate course from UC.

Wherever your experience lies, Professional Pathway Entry could be the key to progressing in your career and achieving your academic goals.

Register your interest

Are you eligible?

The Professional Pathway entry is designed for experienced professionals looking to pursue postgraduate study at UC. You can apply for a course if you meet one of the following criteria:

  • Completed an Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree plus 4 years of full-time work experience at a managerial or professional level.
  • Completed a Diploma plus 8 years of full-time work experience at a managerial or professional level.
  • Completed Year 12 or a Certificate IV plus 10 years of full-time work experience at a managerial or professional level.

These pathways recognise the value of professional experience and non-traditional qualifications as equivalent to formal study. If you’re unsure if your experience meets the requirements, review our Admission Procedure Policy, or complete the EOI form and someone will be in touch.

What’s required?

If you would like to proceed with an application to study based on your professional experience, we will require the following documentation:

  • A current resume detailing your roles, responsibilities, and length of employment.
  • Statements of employment from your employers, confirming your job title, duties, employment period, and referee contact details (on official company letterhead).
  • Evidence of study, such as transcripts or certificates for completed or incomplete courses.
  • Any additional supporting documentation that demonstrates your qualifications or professional experience, such as awards, training certificates, or professional memberships.

If your documents feature a previous name, please provide official evidence of your name change.
