Elegy Of The Reef persuades the overlooked grief towards our oceans. This piece is sculpted to display the beauty of our ocean life, through the cohesive & visually attractive colour palette, and the intricate overall shape of the piece. The sculpture displays bleached coral & departed clamshells. The embossed creatures inside each of the bowls shows how climate change not only affects the reefs, but all ocean life as well. These imprints suggest that in the future all that'll be left is a memory of these creatures. This piece captures both the beauty and endangerment of our sealife.
