On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:1. Critically explore advanced research concepts and methodologies across diverse disciplinary contexts to design and conduct independent research;
2. Exploring and synthesizing the literature relevant to the research field;
3. Understand and adhere to research ethics regulations including the process of obtaining research ethics approval;
4. Evaluate appropriate strategies to process and synthesise research data into meaningful outcome measures; and
5. Understand and apply requirements of candidature management, supervisor relationships and the publication process.

All assignments must be submitted, and passed (all components completed), in order to pass the unit overall.
